You may have seen some people getting OptiFine 1.17.x to work with Zink renderer, but there’s no point to do that, unless you want to run shaders. Zink + 1.17.x OptiFine is a lot slower than GL4ES + 1.17.x vanilla. Now OptiFine 1.17.x working with GL4ES renderer (this video focuses on Android, iOS doesn’t require patching assets).
